Here are some beginning vocabulary words:
1. Me - Meym 2. You - Tewt 3. It - Lihl 4. Be - kewp 5. Give - dohn 6. Ball - bawl 7. Stars - tahl 8. Many - mehn 9. Good - lewt
Symmetrical syllables are special. Me is the most common word, so I figured pronouns get first choice of assignemnts of roots. Me, Tu are easy to remember from Latin and Spanish (and add the last letter to make it a valid komLang syllable.) With a nasal and a plosive sound, a "special" or frictive sound was needed, and L is more common than F, so it is lihl. There is also a good distribution of low/hi and front/back, rounding non/rounding vowels.
Be is a combination of verb and noun indicator consonants (more on that later.) Give is like "dona" Latin, and the English word donation.
Bawl sounds just like ball in English. I don't remember why I thought stars and tahl would be good words.
Mehn, is the first syllable of many. Also, "M" tends to imply much, more etc. I don't remember why I assigned lewt to good, except its a common word that needs sounds from the first easy set.
